About Reset
Reset was founded by Dean in 2026, after a late ADHD diagnosis put a name to years of losing track of tasks, struggling to begin and wondering why ordinary things felt harder than they looked.
Why Reset began
Why Reset was started
Before his diagnosis in 2025, Dean spent years trying to keep up with everyday tasks using systems that seemed to work for everyone else. Lists became longer, starting stayed difficult and an unfinished task often felt like a personal failure.
The diagnosis made those patterns easier to understand. Body doubling helped too. Having someone quietly there made it easier to begin, keep one thing in view and return after a wobble.
Reset grew from that experience. Dean wanted one place to empty his head, shape the mess into a workable plan and get a little company while doing it. No streaks. No scores. No shame for having a difficult day.
Supply one natural portrait or candid photograph of Dean working on Reset. A simple, softly lit image will fit the page best.

Reset did not start with a productivity score. It started with a question: what would make the next step feel easier right now?
Tasks were easy to lose and hard to start, even when they mattered.
A late ADHD diagnosis gave those experiences a name and a better way to understand them.
Dean began combining practical task planning, cognitive offloading and quiet company in one app.
Lived AuDHD experience, research and feedback continue to shape what Reset becomes.
What matters to us
Reset is built around four straightforward principles.
A clear next step is more useful than a perfect plan you cannot begin.
Reset can suggest. You decide what stays, what changes and what goes.
A missed day is not a failure. Showing up in any form still counts.
Energy changes, plans move and interruptions happen. The app should flex with you.
Research informed
Reset draws on research into ADHD, executive function, cognitive offloading, intention setting, reminders, self-monitoring and shame-sensitive feedback.
Some areas, including digital body doubling, are still emerging. We say that clearly. Reset is a planning and focus tool, not a medical treatment, and research is used as a guardrail rather than a marketing shortcut.

Keep suggestions specific, editable and firmly under your control.
The Focus Companion is inspired by body doubling and makes no claim to replace another person.
Saved sessions can offer gentle cues without grading your day.
Add one short sentence from Dean here in his own voice. Around 20 to 35 words will feel personal without turning the story into a testimonial.
Built with people, not at them
Lived experience began the work. Listening will keep it honest. We want feedback from people who use Reset to show us what genuinely helps, what feels unclear and what needs to change.
